私の授業 公衆衛生学
公衆衛生学は、社会集団を対象に疾病を予防し健康寿命を延ばす学問である。疫学的手法で疾病の分布と要因を解明し、保健統計でエビデンスを可視化、環境衛生・健康教育・保健医療体制へ応用する。母子・高齢者・産業などの分野保健に加え、ストレスや依存症を扱う精神保健、パンデミック対策やユニバーサル・ヘルス・カバレッジを推進する国際保健を包含する。さらに、保健情報のサーベイランスとリスクコミュニケーションにより早期介入を図り、科学的根拠に基づく政策評価で継続的改善を実施する。政策立案から地域活動、行動変容支援まで多職種が協働し、社会的決定要因に働き掛け健康格差の是正と持続可能な健康社会の実現を目指す。
メッセージ 公衆衛生学は、地域や国、さらには国際的な視点から人々の健康を守り、支える学問です。病気の予防や健康の維持・増進、医療制度や環境整備、健康教育、精神保健、国際保健など、幅広い分野が関わります。科学的根拠に基づき、社会全体の課題に取り組む姿勢が求められます。あなたの「人の役に立ちたい」「社会をより良くしたい」という思いが、公衆衛生の分野では大きな力になります。未来の健康づくりの担い手として、ぜひ挑戦してください。
